Michael Rivera, 42, of Manchester, was arrested at his home after a brief and fruitless foot chase, police said. He faces multiple felony charges for numerous incidents dating back to November 2024.

Investigators linked Rivera to four separate crimes, including robbing the Ravi Mart on West Middle Turnpike in Manchester three times and one at Super Convenience Store on Hartford Road. Each time, police say, he entered the stores, demanded money, and ran away with the cash.

The crime spree began on November 29, 2024, when Rivera allegedly robbed Ravi Mart, making off with $2,000. Two more robberies at the same store followed in January, with thefts of $600 and $400, respectively, Manchester police said.

One of the most alarming incidents occurred on Jan. 14 at Super Convenience Store in Manchester, where Rivera allegedly threatened to shoot an employee while keeping his hands in his sweatshirt pockets to suggest he was armed. Police say he left with approximately $1,200, police said.

Rivera now faces a long list of charges, including first-degree robbery, third-degree burglary, multiple counts of larceny, and interfering with an officer for trying to run away, Manchester police said.

He was being held on a $260,000 bond, officials added.
